Submit Your Blog to 81 Free Blog Directories

I posted this article on Feb 6 2011 and thought its high time I revise the list of blog directories. So, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a list of 81 Absolutely Free Blog directories. The PR has been updated, a lot of websites which gave either a 404 error or had expired domain names have been removed from the list. Please send me your feedback.

A Blog or Weblog is one of the best featured of Web 2.0. In fact, you are reading a blog right now. A blog is like an online journal which contains content in chronological order with the latest content on top. It allows its readers to comment on each post.

From SEO point of view, search engines love blogs as they get updated frequently. If you are a business owner, then starting a blog can help you widen your customer base, help you get feedback instantly which is very helpful in developing effective business strategy.

Blogging is the easiest to get started on with help from open source platforms:

  • Joomla
  • Drupal

Just as it is with a website, getting noticed is a issue with blogging. With more than a million blogs coming up daily, there is a lot of competition in ranking for your niche term as well. Submitting to blog directories is a good way of building quality backlinks for a blog. The entire process is similar to submitting website URL to search directories.
