If you’re a small time optimizer, creating your own content is your best bet. Dont think that a professional content writer is always better then you are. It can be reverse quite a few times. Learn all that you can about your subject matter. Remember a few thing :

All your effort is a waste if you just skim the topics of the the subject and dont delve in deeper. See how they have drafted their content, laden out their categories and prioritized it. This should give you a fair idea on how to proceed with writing.
- What to write about. Obviously your area of interest. Collect as much information you can about it. Start writing right from the basics and cover all the bases as you move towards the latest updates. Keep giving your readers fresh content to read about. Don’t be in a hurry to get all the information out in one go, keep the content coming slow and steadily. Research your content well, verify its authenticity if required. Yes, its time consuming as i mentioned before. But, definetly worth it. Such approach – if practised regularly can make you a authority site on your subject.
- Always ensure that their are no grammatical mistakes. Nobody likes to read articles full of grammatical errors. It makes them wonder if the author is himself authority enough to write on that subject.
- Accept it if you are not a good writer. It is no use going ahead with writing articles for your website if you’re not a good writer. It’s no big deal. You have lots of other options going for you. But do not force yourself to write if you are not good at it, you will start considering it as a daunting task and loose interest in the subject yourself.

- There are many organization’s which sell content online, check with them for their rates. You can easily get good quality content this way. Search for small upcoming organizations who will sell their content at cheaper rates. If you are a writer yourself, you can work wonders with the articles.

- Forums is a very smart way to create content. Here, visitors do all the writing and create content for your website.
- Maintaining Blogs is yet another way for people to write content on your website.
- Start a Q & A section in your website. You can not only have a word with your visitors but automatically generate content in the form of answers.
- There are many bookmarking websites which contain articles free for use. You can pick up the articles and simply paste. Or a small permission from the author. The link bait will certainly work with the author. After all, everybody wants more visibility on the internet.
